• Serviced Apartments generally earn a higher return from renting out the property on a short term basis

• Short term rental's could mean anything from one week upward, however one could stipulate their own minimum period as per their convenience - suggested minimum period should not be higher than 1 month.

• Often Serviced Apartments are required for periods such as 2, 3, 4 or 6 months at a time.

• Ideally, a Serviced Apartment should cost less than a 4 or 5 star hotel in the same region of the city and should offer all the conveniences of a home which is fully furnished & equipped.

• Preferably a Serviced Apartment should be serviced with daily cleaning, however it is also possible to rent the apartment out on short term basis with full self service only.

• It is preferable to have a few apartments in the same building or near each other, so that the cost of servicing the apartments can be spread over more than one property, however this is not a must.

• In our experience we have found a initial general resistance by Landlords, to the prospects of giving out the apartment on short term basis, however we find that once they realize there is a large requirement for temporary housing from the organized business sector, the relocating expatriates, as well as visiting families , the landlords quickly recognize the potential of letting out their apartments to meet this requirement, and to increase their income (return) from their property.
